CATEGORY: NEWS AND ANNOUNCEMENTS


          By the powers conferred by paragraphs 1 and 2 of the First Schedule to the Accountants Act and section 4(1) of the Accountants Act, the Accounting and Corporate Regulatory Authority, with the approval of the Minister for Finance, has appointed –

(a)  Mr Tan Puay Boon to be Chairman of the Public Accountants Oversight Committee for a period of three years, with effect from 1 April 2024;

(b)  the following persons to be members of the Public Accountants Oversight Committee for a further period of three years, with effect from 1 April 2024:

(i)             Mr Mohammad Shariq Sayeed Barmaky;

(ii)            Ms Catherine Lee;

(iii)           Mr Winston Ngan;

(c)  Ms Goh Chern Ni (Jocelyn) and Mr Lye Kah Cheong to be members of the Public Accountants Oversight Committee for a period of three years, with effect from 1 April 2024; and

(d)  Mr Ow Fook Chuen to be a temporary Chairman of the Public Accountants Oversight Committee whenever the Chairman is unable to discharge his functions because of absence from Singapore or incapacity from illness or otherwise, for a further period of one year, with effect from 1 April 2024.
