Changing your VCC Name

You must update the information via the Change in VCC Information online form within 14 days if there is a change in the VCC name. The filing fee is $15. The application may require in-principle approval from referral authorities depending on your proposed name.

Once the name application is approved, you must lodge a Notice of Resolution via the General Lodgement online form.

Changing your Sub-Fund Name

You must update the information via the Change in VCC Information online form within 1 business day if there is a change in sub-fund name. The filing fee is $15. The application may require in-principle approval from referral authorities depending on your proposed name.

There is no requirement for a Notice of Resolution when changing sub-fund names.

Changing other VCC information (e.g. registered office address, VCC type and office/working hours)

You must update the information on VCC Register within 14 days if there are the following changes to VCC information:

  • Change in VCC type
  • Change in registered office address
  • Change in where register of members and index is kept
  • Change in office hours
  • Change in user-described activity description
  • Alteration of Constitution under Section 20(5) of VCC Act
  • Change in name of sub-fund

Changes in Particulars of VCC officers and manager

You must update the information within 14 days if there are changes to the particulars of your VCC officers (e.g. director, secretary, auditor) or manager:

For VCC officers:

  • Email address
  • Local/overseas mobile number
  • Alternate address

For manager:

  • Address of principal place of business

There is no fee to file these changes.

VCC officers can apply for an alternate address anytime for a fee of $40. The alternate address will be displayed in public records instead of the residential address. It must be an address where the officer can be contacted and must be within the same jurisdiction as their residential address. It cannot be a P.O. box address.

The transaction to update these changes will be available when VCC Register is launched later this year.
