Helping Audit Committees Up their Game Audit committee chairs and members can now register for the annual ACRA-SGX-SID Audit Committee Seminar taking place on 16 Jan 2020, to get first-hand updates on the latest reporting and regulatory development. The seminar will also discuss how audit committees can avoid pitfalls in the financial reporting process. Register early to avoid disappointment!

Updates on BizFile+ Portal • Enhanced BizFile+ Dashboard From 1 Oct, businesses can manage the filing and access rights of their Registered Filing Agents, through the BizFile+ Dashboard.

• SMECEN Software for Ease of Filing SMEs can now sign up for SMECEN via Business Related Services in BizFile+. SMECEN is a cloud-based integrated software providing accounting, HR and compliance modules to make filing to ACRA, IRAS and CPF easy for SMEs.

• Application for Licences Made Easy From 31 Oct, once a business owner successfully registers his business in BizFile+, he will be guided to the new GoBusiness Licensing portal to apply for the licences required to operate his business. The new portal, which replaces the current LicenceOne portal, will also feature a Guided Journey for entrepreneurs who want to operate a business in the food and beverage sector.

Visit by Ministry of Law & Human Rights, Indonesia A delegation from the Ministry of Law and Human Rights of the Republic of Indonesia, led by Director General for Legal Administrative Affairs, Mr Cahyo R. Muzhar visited ACRA on 18 Sep 2019. It was a fruitful meeting where we shared on ACRA’s business registration process and learnt about the proposed changes to the Enterprise Law in Indonesia.
