You must update the information in BizFile+ within 14 days if there are changes to your business particulars such as:
- Business activity
- Principal place of business
- Business owners and/or authorised representative
There is no fee to file these changes. However, a penalty may be imposed for late notification.
You can also apply to change your business name through BizFile+ for a fee of $15. The application may require in-principle approval from referral authorities depending on the proposed name. Find out more about choosing a business name.
If you are appointing or withdrawing a business owner or an authorised representative, you will need endorsement from other business owners (if any).
Endorsement means once you have entered the email address of the appointed person, that person will receive an email notification and a link for him/her to login via Singpass and perform the necessary declaration to acknowledge and agree to the appointment.
Endorsements must be completed online within 14 days from the initial submission date. Otherwise, the application will lapse and you will have to submit a new application. You are advised to inform the other business owner(s) before you apply to make changes, so as to prevent any delay in obtaining their endorsement.
