Independent Forum of Independent Audit Regulators (IFIAR)
ACRA is a founding member of the International Forum of Independent Audit Regulators (IFIAR), which has around 55 members. Through participation in IFIAR, ACRA benchmarks its audit regulatory regime against international practices and engages with global leadership of international accounting networks and organisations with a common interest in enhancing audit quality.
IFIAR's purposes are to:
- Share knowledge of the audit market environment and practical experience of independent audit regulatory activity with a focus on inspections of auditors and audit firms;
- Promote collaboration and consistency in regulatory activity; and
- Provide a platform for dialogue with other international organisations that have an interest in audit quality.
ACRA was elected to the IFIAR Board in 2017 for a four-year term. ACRA had previously served as a member of the IFIAR Advisory Council for two terms, from 2008 to 2011 and 2013 to 2017 respectively.

ASEAN Audit Regulators Group
At the regional level, ACRA is part of the ASEAN Audit Regulators Group (AARG) which includes Indonesia's Center for Supervision of the Financial Service Profession (PPPK), Malaysia's Audit Oversight Board, Thailand's Securities and Exchange Commission and Philippines's Securities and Exchange Commission. The AARG aims to foster closer collaboration amongst audit regulators and promote audit quality in the ASEAN region. The AARG discusses common issues relating to audit regulation and related key issues such as audit talent and engagements with the international audit firms at a regional level.
The AARG also helps other ASEAN economies to develop their independent audit regulatory regimes via ways such as conducting audit inspection workshops for ASEAN audit regulators.
