Filing with the Central ROND & RONS

Public information

Anyone can check if a current director or shareholder is a nominee by buying your company's business profile.

However, they cannot check nominee status from Bizfile's people search.

Private information

The following information remains private:

• Date of nomination

• Names and details of nominators

• Historical nominee arrangements

Nominee status is displayed next to the person's name:

• "ND": Nominee director

• "NS": Nominee shareholder

The nominee status will not appear if:

• The nominee arrangement has ceased

• The director's appointment has ended

• The shareholder is no longer a member

• Your company is exempt from ROND and RONS requirements

• Your company has no nominee director or shareholder

1. Open the Update Registers of Nominee Directors and Nominee Shareholders eService and log in.

2. Update the incorrect information.

3. Submit your changes.

Your records will update immediately after you submit.

Note: You do not need to file a notice of error (NOE).

First, make sure you record all nominators' details accurately in your private registers.

If you have multiple nominee arrangements: You can submit up to 100 nominee arrangements (across both nominee directors and shareholders) in one or more transactions.

If you have more than 100 arrangements, submit another transaction through the same eService.

If one nominee has multiple nominators: Create separate records (one for each nomination). You can select the same nominee multiple times. You may submit all records in one transaction or across separate transactions.

As ACRA does not hold information on members of foreign companies, you need to provide the shareholder's name when filing their nominator details.

1. Open the Update Registers of Nominee Directors and Nominee Shareholders eService and log in.

2. Under the "Does the entity have any active nominee directors or nominee shareholders?" field, select No.

3. Complete and submit your filing.

Please input "Not applicable" in the foreign business registration number field when you use the Update Registers of Nominee Directors and Nominee Shareholders eService.

If a nominee director or shareholder ceases their appointment, you need to:

1. Cease their appointment through the Appoint or withdraw position holder eService.

2. File the date the nomination ceased through the Update Registers of Nominee Directors and Nominee Shareholders eService.

Yes, you need to file separate updates. This is because ROND and RONS information are stored separately from other business information.

For example, if your nominator is also a:

• Position holder (such as a company director or secretary): You need to update through the Update position holder information eService too.

• Shareholder: You need to update through the Update shareholder information eService too.

The record shows as "inactive" when:

• You previously filed information about a nominee arrangement

• You have since updated the record to show that the nomination has ended
