What you need to do

  1. Top up your CPF Medisave accounts

As a self-employed person, you are required to contribute to your CPF MediSave Account, to ensure sufficient savings for your healthcare needs.​

​If you or your business partners have an annual net trade income exceeding $6,000, you and your partners must have made arrangements with the CPF Board to either:​​

  • Make your MediSave contributions in full; or​

  • Make your MediSave contributions via monthly instalments. ​​

Consequences: If you or your partners have outstanding MediSave payable, your business registration may be cancelled early and a notice will be sent to all owners or partners to inform them accordingly. You will not be able to renew your business registration too.​​

Log in to CPF Board's Self-employment dashboard to:​

  • Check your outstanding MediSave payable ​

  • Make arrangements for your outstanding MediSave payable. You can contribute in full, or via monthly instalments ​​

  1. Renew your business registration

You must renew your registration every one or three years to keep your business active.

Tip: Set reminders to renew your registration. You can renew it up to 60 days before it expires.

Update your business information within 14 days of any change.

You must use your registered business name. It is not allowed to operate under another name unless it is registered.
