You can notify ACRA directly if you resign as a partner or manager, and your general partner has not notified ACRA on your behalf.

When to notify

Limited partnerships (LPs) must update LP information within 14 days if a partner or manager resigns.

Otherwise, there might be a penalty for late filing.

How to notify ACRA

If you resigned as a general partner, limited partner, or manager, you can notify ACRA by filing a Notice of Cessation.

This notification only updates your resignation with ACRA. It does not affect any contracts or obligations you have with the partnership or other partners.
