When to file a complaint

Learn when you can file a complaint against an individual CVA holder with Institute of Valuers and Appraisers Singapore (IVAS).

You can file a complaint if you believe a CVA holder did not comply with the:

Code of Ethical Principles for Professional Valuers set by the Institute of Valuers and Appraisers (IVAS)
The International Valuation Standards set by the International Valuation Standards Council (IVSC)

Note: You should try to resolve the issue directly with the CVA holder before you file a complaint with IVAS.

Inform IVAS if:

Email the completed form and supporting documents to ivas@acra.gov.sg.

After you file a complaint:

You will receive an email confirming receipt of your complaint within one week.
IVAS will review your complaint and decide whether to proceed with an investigation.
IVAS may ask you to provide more information or documents during the investigation.
IVAS will inform the CVA holder about your complaint and relevant supporting documents. They have the right to defend themselves.
The length of the investigation depends on how complex your complaint is.
IVAS's decision on the investigation is final.
