New Bizfinx Preparation Tool (Prep Tool)

ACRA has released Version 4.0.1 of the BizFinx Prep Tool. 

Implementation timeline

Entities can use the latest version to prepare, validate and upload their financial statements in XBRL format from 19 October 2026. Users must transition to the latest version by 30 November 2026.

Key enhancements

The updated Prep Tool includes the following improvements:

• A smoother filing experience, without the need to download a separate patch to address computer configuration issues.

• The following employee data fields are now optional: "Number of employees of the company" and "Number of employees of the group (if the company is part of a group)". However, companies exempt from audit are strongly encouraged to continue providing this information. 

• Some validation rule exceptions have been reclassified from genuine errors to possible errors. This allows companies to proceed with filing without applying for a business rule exemption if they have confirmed that the flagged items are not errors. 

Installation instructions

If you have an older version of the Prep Tool installed:

1. Ensure your computer is connected to the internet.

2. Uninstall the current version of the Prep Tool.

3. Visit the Prep Tool download page.

4. Click “Download” to install the latest version.

Note: Excel and XBRL.zip files created using earlier versions can be opened in the latest versions without any loss of data.
