Step 2: Using Bizfile to renew public accountant (PA) registration
As a PA, you should renew your certificate of registration by 31 December every year.
When to renew
Practising as a PA without a valid certificate of registration is illegal. Renew your certificate to continue providing public accountancy services.

Who can renew
As an individual, you can renew directly if you are a:
PA
PA for the purpose of becoming a judicial manager (JM) or trustee in bankruptcy (TIB); You can renew if you were appointed before the Insolvency Restructuring and Dissolution Act 2018 (IRDA) started, and your case is still ongoing
You may also engage a corporate service provider (CSP) to file on your behalf.

Most renewal applications are approved soon after payment. If further approval is needed, this can take 3 to 14 working days.
Variable fee breakdown
Your variable fee depends on how many listed corporations you audited in the calendar year before your renewal year.
Example: If you renew for 2027, declare the listed corporations you audited from 1 January to 31 December 2026.

Step 2: Check and confirm details
Follow these steps to check and confirm the PA's information before completing the application.
If you need to update any details:

Step 3: Review and submit
Follow these steps to review and submit the renewal application.
If you meet all of the renewal requirements, the certificate of renewal will be sent to your Bizfile inbox.
