Training Requirements

Anyone seeking to register or renew their registration as a Registered Corporate Service Provider (CSP) must complete a mandatory training programme consisting of:

  • A prescribed Anti-Money Laundering/Countering Proliferation Financing and Countering the Financing of Terrorism (AML/CPF/CFT) course
  • An AML/CPF/CFT Proficiency Test

This programme ensures that CSPs maintain current knowledge of AML/CPF/CFT regulations. Registration renewal requires completing these training requirements every two years to ensure that their knowledge remains up to date.

Course Structure and Fees:

  • Half-day course conducted by CSIS and ISCA ($200)
  • Online proficiency test administered by ACRA ($45 per attempt)

Enrolment Process

  • CSPs may enrol for the AML/CPF/CFT course from either the CSIS or ISCA websites
  • At least one director, owner, or partner must attend the course
  • Upon course completion, course participants must pass the online proficiency test
  • Multiple test attempts are permitted

What is the mandatory training programme?

The AML/CPF/CFT mandatory training programme consists of a prescribed course and a prescribed proficiency test.

Who needs to attend the course and pass the test?Anyone seeking to register or renew their registration as a CSP.
Who in the CSP should attend the course and pass the test? The course must be attended by any director or owner or partner of the CSP. The same person that attended the course must take the test.
Is there a need for everyone in the CSP to attend the course and pass the test?To satisfy the requirements for registration and renewal, at least one director or owner or partner of the CSP must attend the course and pass the test.
Is there a requirement for the RQI(s) and employee(s) of the CSP to attend the course and pass the test? There is currently no requirement for RQI(s) and employee(s) of CSPs to attend the course and pass the test but CSPs may choose to send them for the course and take the test if they wish to as part of a CSP’s training obligations for its RQI(s) and employee(s).
Is this a one-off requirement?

This is an ongoing requirement for registration as CSPs.  The director, owner or partner of the CSPs must attend the course and pass the test at least once every two years to renew their CSP’s registration.

The training and test must be completed within six months before the date of submitting your application for either initial registration or renewal as a CSP.
