Aspiring entrepreneurs can now seamlessly register a sole proprietorship or partnership with ACRA through the GoBusiness plaform.  They can also stay updated on the status of their business registration and other applications and transactions on the GoBusiness Dashboard.   

GoBusiness is a one-stop platform to provide businesses in Singapore with seamless, integrated and personalised access to Government e-services and resources. It includes a Start-up Guide and e-Advisers for Starting a Business, Premises Use, and Licences.  

The new e-service on the GoBusiness portal is launched by ACRA in partnership with the Ministry of Trade and Industry, the Smart Nation and Digital Government Office (SNDGO) and GovTech.

To register a sole proprietorship or partnership through GoBusiness, 

  • Go to GoBusiness
  • Log in and answer a few simple questions in the e-Adviser for Starting a Business and receive recommendations on the steps to get your business started;
  • Click on “Add a Guided Journey” and register a sole proprietorship or partnership seamlessly with ACRA through the GoBusiness portal; and 
  • When your application is completed, you will receive an acknowledgement email and a free Business Profile from ACRA. Your application status will also be reflected on the GoBusiness Dashboard.

A: You can register a new sole proprietorship or partnership using the GoBusiness portal.

A: Your partner will receive a notification to endorse the business registration application. He/she will have to login to Bizfileto give consent before the registration can proceed on the GoBusiness portal.

A: The registration completed through the GoBusiness portal, will be filed with ACRA seamlessly.

Q: How do I know that my sole proprietorship/partnership registration is successful?
A: When your application is completed, you will receive an acknowledgement email and a free Business Profile from ACRA. Your application status will also be reflected on the GoBusiness Dashboard. 

Q: After I have registered a new sole proprietorship or partnership using the GoBusiness portal, will I receive a Business Profile for my new business entity, similar to the one given out after a business entity is successfully registered with ACRA’s BizFileportal?
A: Yes, ACRA will send you a free Business Profile for your new business entity after successful registration using the GoBusiness portal.

Q: How much does it cost to register a sole proprietorship or partnership on the GoBusiness portal?
A: The cost to register a sole proprietorship or partnership on the GoBusiness portal is the same as the cost to do so via the BizFile+ portal. It costs $15 for name application; and $100 for a one-year registration or $160 for a three-year registration for a sole proprietorship or partnership.
