Renewing a Sole-Proprietorship / Partnership

The registration of the sole-proprietorship/partnership is valid for one year from the date of registration. The registration must be renewed annually before the expiry date.

What if I do not renew the registration?

Carrying on the business after the expiry date is an offence under which the defaulter is liable - on conviction, a fine not exceeding $5,000, or imprisonment for a term not exceeding 12 months, or both.

How do I renew the registration?

Please note that the registration will be renewed for a fixed period of 1 year and a renewal fee of $20.00 is payable.

Sole-proprietors or partners can renew their business registration:

• Login to BizFile using their identification number and SingPass to renew their registration online. Refer to the eGuide on renewal of registration.
