  • Limited Partnerships Report – Final Report

    In 2006, Ministry of Finance sought public comment on the draft Limited Partnerships (LPs) Bill 2006. The Government has now accepted the recommendations in the final report by a private-sector study team on LPs. Among the areas covered are the legal structure, registration requirements, disclosure and reporting requirements, the liability of partners, and the dissolution requirements of LPs.



  • Report of the Corporate Governance Committee and Code of Corporate Governance

    The Corporate Governance Committee (CGC) was established by  Ministry of Finance, Monetary Authority of Singapore and Attorney-General's Chambers. Its purpose is to review the corporate regulatory framework in Singapore. Before deciding on the recommendations, the CGC consulted the public throughout December 2000.  The Report was published in 2001. The Report and the accompanying Code of Corporate Governance seek to encourage companies listed in Singapore to enhance shareholder value through good corporate governance.



  • Report of the Committee on Company Legislation and Regulatory Framework

    The Company Legislation and Regulatory Framework Committee (CLRFC) was appointed by Ministry of Finance, Attorney-General’s Chambers and Monetary Authority of Singapore in December 1999. The CLRFC issued a public consultation paper on 22 October 2001 to gather comments on the areas it wished to be reviewed. Two Public Consultation documents were released in 2001 and 2002 before the final Report was released in 2002.



  • Report of the Committee on Disclosure & Accounting Standards

    The Disclosure and Accounting Standards Committee (DASC) was established by Ministry of Finance, Monetary Authority of Singapore and Attorney-General’s Chambers. It undertook a broad study of the issues relating to corporate regulation and governance. Two Public Consultation documents were released in 2000 and 2001 before the final Report was released in 2001.



  • Limited Liability Partnerships Reports - First Consultation Report

    The Study Team on Limited Liability Partnerships (LLPs) was set up by Ministry of Finance in November 2002. Its terms of reference are to work out the details of the legal framework governing LLPs. The Public Consultation document was released in 2003.



  • Limited Liability Partnerships Reports - Final Report

    Following a public consultation in June 2003, the Study Team made a number of recommendations in its final report to Ministry of Finance. These covered areas such as the legal structure and registration requirements, disclosure and reporting requirements, the liability of partners of a Limited Liability Partnership (LLP) and the dissolution requirements of a LLP. The Report was released in 2004.
