19 August 2009 (Wednesday) 9.00am - 5.30pm Raffles City Convention Centre	Public Accountants Conference 2009	Through practical seminars and discussion forums, conference participants will have opportunity to hear from regulators and leaders in accounting and corporate governance on key topics such as  importance of professional skepticism and communication, role of audit committees, and how public accountants can take advantage of strengths and opportunities to take a leading role in building a trusted Singapore brand. Participants will also learn about the key findings and issues from ACRA’s Practice Monitoring Programme and other auditor oversight activities that were conducted in 2008/2009. The conference will include technical updates on accounting and auditing standards, as well as advice on avenues for public accountants to develop their practices. April to June 2009 Training venues of ACRA appointed professional training partners	XBRL Training Courses	To assist preparers of financial statements in the use of FS Manager, a free online tool is provided by ACRA as part of BizFile to enable companies to prepare, manage and file their financial statements in XBRL. Companies have been required to file financial statements in XBRL since 1 November 2007.
