Excellent Service Award
An outstanding total of 24 ACRA officers were honoured at the Excellent Service Awards 2010 - a national award to recognise individuals who have delivered outstanding service. ACRA’s pool of service champions were lauded with a total of nine Star Awards, the top tier of the award categories, as well as nine Gold Awards and six Silver Awards.
MOF High Impact Award
The winner of the coveted Ministry of Finance (MOF) High Impact Award for two consecutive years, ACRA won the award in 2010 for its project on Business Financials in XBRL. The initiative served to streamline and transform how public corporate financial data can be collected, processed, accessed and used in a timely and dynamic manner to facilitate the decision making process of the different stakeholders in the business community.
In 2009, ACRA received the award for its Unique Entity Number (UEN) project, a winning entry in collaboration with the Ministry of Finance. The UEN served as an identification number for all entities that are registered in Singapore, including local companies, foreign companies, businesses, limited liability partnerships, public accounting firms, and unregistered local and foreign entities, streamlining the way these entities and organisations deal with government agencies.
Best Pro-Enterprise Suggestion Award
ACRA’s initiative on “Colour-Coded Compliance Rating for Directory Search and Certificate of Compliance” clinched the Gold Award at the Best Pro-Enterprise Suggestions Award 2010. The project, which also won the MOF Innovator Award, was launched to encourage locally incorporated companies to comply with the corporate regulatory requirements.
MOF Best Project Award
ACRA clinched the MOF Best Project Award three years in a row, winning the honour in 2010 for its project on “New Customer Relationship Management”, which aimed to achieve delivery of a consistent level of service across various customer touch points.
In 2009, ACRA was honoured with the award for its project on “Raising the Level of Voluntary Compliance”, which reviewed and enhanced ACRA’s existing initiatives to promote voluntary compliance to raise the percentage level of Annual Return filings. The project “To Better Manage the Call Volume of ACRA Helpdesk through Interactive Voice Response System (IVRS)” took the award in 2008 for coming up with ways to better manage the service performance of ACRA Helpdesk staff when there is an increase or surge in the number of enquiries or calls.
Most Improved Agency Award
ACRA was lauded at the MOF Productivity Day 2010 with the "Most Improved Agency Award". In 2008, ACRA won the award for showing significant improvement in terms of WITS, staff suggestions and initiatives to promote innovation and creativity.
CIO Award
The CIO 100 Index recognises the top 100 organisations in Asia that have effectively utilised technological innovation to effect strategic changes and significant growth.
Among the world’s corporations and organisations, ACRA’s prominence as an organisation leading in leveraging business technology was once again fortified when it was included in the CIO 100 Index in March 2009. ACRA earned the accolade for implementing the XBRL system, an online service for business entities to prepare the financial statements for their annual return submissions to ACRA. ACRA was also included in the CIO 100 Honouree list in March 2008 for converging a holistic range of services and features in BizFile, ACRA’s winning electronic filing and information retrieval system. ACRA was noted for making significant impact on its stakeholders by reducing business transactions from five days to as short as 15 minutes. The BizFile offers close to 300 e-services, and serves as a one-stop facilitator for businesses.
National Infocomm Awards
At the National Infocomm Awards 2010, ACRA was presented with the merit award in the “Most Innovative Use of Infocomm Technology” (Public sector) category, for its ‘One-stop Business Facilitation’ suite of systems that covers online transactions, business analytics, one-stop shop services, business data hub and real-time system-to-system services over the web.
The National Infocomm Awards, one of the highest accolades for the infocomm industry in Singapore, serves to recognise organisations in Singapore which have effectively deployed innovative infocomm technology to achieve significant improvements in productivity and overall competitiveness as a result.
Singapore Government Web Excellence Award
ACRA clinched the Merit Award at the Singapore Government Web Excellence Awards 2009. Competing against some 66 entries from 39 government agencies, the ACRA corporate website was among the top 10 in the overall ranking.
Stockholm Challenge Award
ACRA's ‘One-stop Business Facilitation’ suite of systems received Honorable mention at the Stockholm Challenge Award 2010. The project was shortlisted for the ‘Economic Development’ category, which evaluates how Information and Communication Technology (ICT) is being deployed in areas of economic development.
The Stockholm Challenge Award - a pioneer among ICT awards and networking organisations, was launched by the City of Stockholm to help counteract social and economic disadvantage by promoting the use of ICT for development.
Contact Centre World Award
ACRA was lauded at the Contact Centre World Awards 2010, clinching the top awards in four categories against some 1,200 entrants from 40 nations. The Contact Centre World is a global association for contact centre best practices and networking, with the awards serving as a platform to celebrate best practices in service delivery.
Asia-Pacific Government Contact Centre Excellence Awards
In 2009, ACRA clinched the 'Best Government Contact Centre (Over 30 FTEs)' award and in the process, becoming the first Asian government contact centre to be accorded with this honour.
The Asia-Pacific Government Contact Centre Excellence Awards is an annual government contact centre industry event that recognises outstanding achievement of contact centres across local, state and federal agencies and departments in Australia and the Asia-Pacific region. At the same time, it provides a platform for finalists to showcase their work and be recognised by their colleagues in the public sector contact centres.
Singapore Quality Class Certification
ACRA achieved the certification for Singapore Quality Class (SQC) on 30 October 2008, joining the ranks of organisations which have achieved world-class business excellence standards. The process of SQC certification has enabled ACRA to affirm its strengths and identify areas for further improvement.

ISO 9001:2008
Achieving the ISO 9001:2000 certification, an international standard for the management of quality system in October 2001, marked a milestone in ACRA's quality journey. In August 2010, ACRA successfully completed the third renewal of the ISO 9001:2000 certification as well as converting to the latest ISO 9001:2008 standard, building on the quality management systems put in place by the ISO 9000 standards to continually improve its performance.

People Developer Re-certification
Committed to providing an environment where its people can maximise their potential and capability, ACRA achieved the People Developer certification, a national recognition for organisations that have systems and processes in place to achieve excellence through people, in 2004. The endorsement enabled ACRA to benchmark its own people management systems and practices against the niche standards of the Business Excellence Framework. In June 2008, ACRA successfully achieved the re-certification of the People Developer.

Singapore HEALTH Award
ACRA was accorded a Gold Award for the Singapore HEALTH Award (Helping Employees Achieve Life-Time Health) by the Health Promotion Board in November 2010 in recognition of its commitment to promoting health at work. The award was an acknowledgement of ACRA as one of the select workplaces in Singapore with a commendable workplace health promotion programme.
